Jewellery Care

Every SuhaniMara jewel is handcrafted with intention, blending antique elements, gemstones, metals, and natural materials. To ensure your jewellery continues to shine for generations, a little care goes a long way.

Handling & Wearing

  • Handle your jewellery with gentle care.
  • Avoid wearing your jewellery while swimming, bathing, or exercising.
  • Apply perfumes, lotions, or hair products before putting on your jewellery to prevent residue.
  • Pearls and delicate beads are sensitive to acids, moisture, and heat; AVOID direct contact with cosmetics, chemicals, and perspiration.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

  • Metals (Silver, Gold, Sterling Silver): Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage antique finishes.
  • Gemstones, Fossils, & Meteorites: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not soak or use ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Shells, Wood & Beads: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from prolonged moisture.
  • Pearls & Antique Beads: Wipe with a soft cloth after each wear. Never soak in water or cleaners.

Storing Your Jewellery

  • Store each piece separately in its pouch or box to prevent scratches.
  • Avoid storing pearls and delicate beads in dark, humid spaces; natural materials need air circulation.
  • Keep jewellery away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to preserve colour and texture.
  • For long-term storage, wrap delicate pieces in acid-free tissue paper.
